Who I Am

PEACE YALLLL HAHA

My name is Jorel Corpus and i come from Manila in the Philippines

Im a 4th semester EPD (Electronic Production and Design) and MPE (Music Production and Engineering) dual major here in Berklee. I’m looking to Produce, Engineer and make great albums as well as do Sound Design, Music Programming and Synthesis wherever my career takes me when im done with school. Im also currently a workstudy supervisor in the Learning Center, a training facility where students get to do their projects and get training with all the cool software that came with their laptop packages and a lot more.

I grew up listening to rock music and eventually branched out into a myriad of genres like drum and bass, samba, electro, funk, ambient, lounge, house. And recently my majors got me interested in MIDI, Live performances with custom programming and sound design through programs like Max/MSP.

I believe that artists have so much power in their hands to influence their listeners and i wanna be able to to help shape a new generation of young and old listeners alike through my services, songs, life and endeavors.

I believe that my country has so much talent waiting to be discovered. And i wanna be able to help them have access to the school even through a simple activity like setting up a World Scholarship Tour audition date there. I am very blessed just to be here. And i wanna share that experience with other people who i know are looking for a fresh outlook in their craft.

I believe in getting out of your comfort zone and living for your passion. You are created for a purpose and its just your responsibility to develop whatever talent God gave you. With me, i believe its music. It may sound cliche BUT I LOVE MUSIC. Its what i do, its my craft and i know it in my heart that its my RESPONSIBILITY to develop and hone it.

I love seeing someone BE ALIVE by pursuing his passion. Its so priceless to see someone so spirited because he knows deep in his heart that he is living what he is meant to do. I hope you are that way too today.

I co-founded Kjwan and Happymeals and played with Brigada when i was in Manila. Check them out. Theyre pretty cool bands.

I hope to be here long enough to see you guys in Boston! Im so excited for you!

Best!
